Wine Experience at Savino – Enoteca Gastronomica in Torrita di Siena
Inside the gastronomic wine shop Savino, located at Via Traversa Valdichiana Est 181 in Torrita di Siena, the doors open to a selection of tastings designed for every type of wine lover: from the curious beginner to the passionate expert.
A route that touches the most important and prestigious appellations in Tuscany: Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Bolgheri and Supertuscan. In this experience, you will discover what makes these wines so famous throughout the world, between aromatic complexity, structure and very long evolutionary potential. Each glass will tell a different part of the Tuscan soul, among hills, microclimates and centuries-old traditions.
Ideal for those taking their first steps into the world of wine, this wine tasting is a guided introduction to Sangiovese, Tuscany’s main grape variety. A journey through the most representative territorial expressions: from Montepulciano to Montalcino, passing through Chianti Classico. Selected white wines are also included in this journey, for a complete and harmonious balance.
A wine tasting dedicated to the territory surrounding Montepulciano, with a focus on the most identifiable wines of the area and neighbouring areas, such as Cortona and the Val d’Orcia. Perfect for those who want to delve into the wine soul of one of the most elegant areas of Tuscany, where Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is flanked by surprising labels, rich in character and history.
The most prestigious experience: a confrontation between the great names of contemporary Tuscan viticulture. You will discover the universe of Supertuscans, revolutionary wines born from the encounter between tradition and innovation. Here you will find Bordeaux blends, pure expressions of Sangiovese, and bold interpretations that have redefined the very idea of Tuscan wine. An unmissable tasting for those who love excellence.

We stayed at the end of December 2024, we found the room very warm as we had requested, the room very clean even the bathroom. Very rustic, charming and very welcoming from the reception to the room. Equipped with all the accessories dispensabil inside the room and close to the countries to visit. Definitely we will return. Excellent!
Dream night in one of Italy's beautiful villages

Beautiful building in equally beautiful old village. It was pleasant to walk around and stop to chat with the locals, who were very warm and friendly. Fabulous rooms in the palace, spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. Good breakfast on the terrace with exceptional views.
Very friendly staff.Difficult to find weak points. Access by car, in case you have to unload heavy luggage, is certainly not easy, but impossible to improve…

The structure is wonderful, in a strategic position for visiting the Val d’Orcia, with staff who are always helpful and smiling. The hamlet is a little stone jewel, immersed in peace and silence. Travelling in 3 with the little dog, we were surprised by the double room and double bathroom, perfect for our needs. The furnishings are in style with the place, with elegant frescoes, air conditioning in both rooms and spacious bathrooms. Breakfast, served in the garden with a wonderful view, is plentiful and quality.

Large and comfortable room (we took the suite because we have two small girls ..) overlooking the valley, breakfast good and plentiful and strategic location for visiting the most popular villages of the Val d’Orcia. But above all kindness and hospitality of the staff. Highly recommended.

Beautiful room cosy and cool and comfortable If I really have to find a flaw it is the walk uphill to get there, but we had previously unloaded our luggage with the car right in front of reception.

We happened by chance looking for a solution for the night on our tour in the Val d’Orcia. The palace is located in Petroio one of the many beautiful small villages in Tuscany, the location is beautiful and evocative, the rooms furnished, with taste ‘old’ and an outdoor courtyard that overlooks a beautiful view. If you are in the area I definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent location in a very deserving hamlet. The breakfast served in the garden is pleasant. As for the staff Giovanna stands out for professionalism, kindness and courtesy, the rest almost makes it difficult to say hello……meglio that he changes profession.

We were guests in this charming establishment, restored with attention to detail but, above all, maintaining a link with the historicity of the old residence. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I recommend it to anyone who wants to go on a tour of the Orcia valley.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff and service, condition and amenities of the room. We stayed in a spacious room with a stunning view of the mountains. The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We travelled with our teenage daughter and we all enjoyed our five night stay very much. The breakfast was fantastic. The town is very charming.
